WANTED

It is always fun carving pumpkin. Kade and Porter are like me the hate getting the insides out. Mason on the other hand doesn't care to much. It is more of a mission for him. At the beggining Porter made Ben promise not to chase them around with the guts this yeat. I think that that is what has been causing the bad dreams all year. :)Halloween.

Catching up. 2008

Mom hired a photographer to take pictures of the family.  He realized the characters of the kids real quick and did an excellent job capturing that.  Fall 2008

We went on a camp out with Paul, Amy, Brian and Jen up on Cedar Mountain.  It was cold but so much fun.  We took  a good trip around the mountain on the four wheelers.  Ben let me drive some of the way.  What a guy.   August 2008

Togetherness

These are some great picutres of the kids playing together. Yes it does happen. It isn't always WWF at our house.

One of theboys' favorite things to do is to win Ben at a foosball game. Porter gets a really big kick out of it. I am surprised that he doesn't pull a muscle.

Oh the things they do

Either he loves me or is just trying to get me to shut up. But isn't it sweet that he is doing sheetrock, even though it the thing he detests the most. Thank you to dad and Jarron who came over and helped alot.

Porter has been riding his bike with training wheels now for some time. The more he rode it the more the wheels flared out til prety soon he hardly used them, only to stop with. Today one of them completeley came off. Unfixable. So Mason decided he would teach Porter how to ride his bike without training wheels. He got the tools out and finished taking them off. And then with a little assistance from mom he showed him how to take off and what to do when you stop. Before mason could finish his instructions Porter rode past us. We both looked at each other "he's doing it" we said at the same time. He did marvelous. except for the ocasional bush being leaned into because he forgot the legs down part he never did CRASH on the maiden voyage and for the rest of the evening. He is getting so big.

a week or less Mason was out jumping over some ramps that we have and Porter tried and suceeded. After a few times of this Mason came to get me to watch. Sure enough he did it. It scared me enough though that I banned him from doing it anymore until he got on a bigger bike. The little tire on that bike almost fit into the edge on the top of the ramp, which could have endo'd him.

What mom, don't jump on the bed?

We starterd to finish the basement so we moved everything into the big room in the basement. The closeness of the furniture was great for playing superman onto the giant bean bag.

Yes they ruined the bed. But they did it anyway, so wshy not watch and get some great photos of kids being kids. And they have to sleep in it not me.

Christmas Story

Twas the day before Christmas and all through the house,
all the kids were a scury just like a mouse.
All the nuts on the table had been shelled just right,
when mom walked in it ws a messy sight.
With ma out shopping and dad to babysit,
This was too cute she couldn't through a fit.
With all the excitement he just couldn't wait,
Kade was the one to get everyone a wake.
With eyes still a blurr and excitment growing,
they came down the hall to see the tree just a glowing.
Soon presents were scatered from here and to there,
A sure sign Santa had been here.
From Scotters, tamagatchi's and pokemans too,
It's not over now we get to go to Grandmas, Waa-hoo.
With all said and done and new memories to share,
Merry Christmas to all and a happy New Year.

December Cheer

It is still two weeks before Christmas so the stress hasn't fully enveloped us. Although, I have sure noticed a posotive change in myself. Tonight as the kids where acting totally crazy laughing then arguing with one another I just had a sense of rightness. My kids are Healthy and happy. Afterall it is healthy to argue with your siblings and healthy to want stuff. They are in schooland learning so thats healthy. They have food, beds, and toys. A functional family as opposed to a "dis"functional family. Being raised in this kind of environment it just seem natural but tonight I truely felt blessed. Then to make me smile more Ben started wrestling with the kids. That always makes me smile because everyone is laughing.
