Valley of Fire our Valentines date

Valentines was on Friday this year and since Ben had to work late we decided to go on a day long motorcycle ride on Saturday to Valley of Fire.  It was my first big ride. I had rode around town and stuff but not for that amount of time nor that fast.  I did great. I am so glad Ben is patient enough to teach me to ride. I am so glad it is something Ben and I can do together.
We went from Henderson to Valley of Fire up past Lake Mead.  Just a ways into the park we spotted these guys on the side of the hill.  It is crazy how well they blend in.

I am not sure what this place was called but there was a couple of hikes you could go on.  We went part way down one jut to see the edge.

Then there was this, again I can't remember what it is called, but it was amazing how the colors just stopped and started.

It was supposed, to be sunny and warm but it was overcast and it didn't let the sun out keeping the temperature just a bit on the chilly side.  We went on up to Logandale to have dinner at Players and then worked our way home stopping a some of the bays along the lake.  It was dark and cold by the time we got home but it was such a nice day to be spending time with my sweet Hubby.

A good time with a friend.

School was out for Valentines so I took the boys along with a friend, Aiden, motorcycle riding to our favorite place.  We had so much fun.

Here is Aiden in front of Porter.
 Kade in front of Mason.
The younger boys took a break and had some lunch.

Porter as Iron Man and Aiden as Thor
You can't see it but there was a bomb that was about to explode.  So they turned to run.
They turned to see how far they had gone and that is when the bomb exploded.
They were knocked down.  This was a very fun stop action photo shoot.
Aiden on his motorcycle going up the jump.  Good job bud.

Mason turned thirteen.  Now I have two teenagers.  Thank Goodness they are good boys.  I made him let me take some pictures of him before he went to school.  It was fun.

Later that day we went to the Arroyo Grande pump track.  Mason invited his friends but the only one who was available was Vincen.

Here is Porter on his scooter on the pump track.

Mason (in the yellow shirt) on his bike jumping the big jumps.
 Porter chasing Kade.
Vincen, Ben and Mason.  This picture gives you an idea of how tall the jumps are.  Mason was proud of the fact that he could clear all three of the jumps in one run.  For those who don't know what that is it is when you go up the jump and launch it, and without touching the top of the table, land on the downhill side of the jump.  This I guess I difficult because you loose speed each jump.

Yeah thats me.  It looked smooth but to me it was NOT.  Porter followed me teaching me how to do it. So obviously I wasn't going to fast unlike them.

Ben couldn't stand it either he took a turn on the pump track on Vincen's bike with Kade chasing him.
